Crash backs up Highway 101 near Summerland

A van towing a 40-foot trailer jackknifed and tipped on northbound Highway 101 north of Sheffield Drive at around 12:45 p.m. today, blocking both lanes, authorities said.
Officers on the scene said no one is injured, although a 30-foot section of guardrail is damaged. CHP officers are directing traffic along the shoulder, but warned motorists to expect delays for at least two hours as they work to clean up the scene. Authorities also closed the northbound Sheffield Drive offramp.
