Four arrested in drug sting

Three weeks after raiding a home on the 1300 block of Sycamore Canyon Rd. in Santa Barbara and arresting eight people suspected of dealing and using methamphetamine, Sheriff’s Detectives returned to the same home on Tuesday and made four additional arrests.
Sgt. Alex Tipolt, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department, said the information that led to the Tuesday’s arrests was gathered during the earlier methamphetamine sting, which was the culmination of an eight-month-long investigation.


This time however, the drug was heroin.
“Detectives seized numerous packages of tar heroin, packaging materials, firearms and other paraphernalia associated with the sales of narcotics,” Tipolt said. “All subjects were also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.”
Tipolt said 25-year-old Charlene Iniguez was arrested for alleged possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and is being held on $10,000 bail; Samuel Huerta, 30, was booked for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled substance and committing a new offense while on bail and is being held on $2,500 bail; Jesse Deason, 34, was booked for alleged possession of heroin, being under the influence of a controlled susbstance, possession of drug paraphernalia and for violation of his probation. He is being held on $10,000 bail.
A fourth man, Eric Johnson, 29, was arrested for alleged violation of probation and being under the influence of a controlled substance. He is being held on $2,500 bail.
