Two arrested for alleged child endangerment

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a Los Alamos resident and her boyfriend yesterday after authorities found them smoking methamphetamine in a bedroom with a 3-year-old boy.
Detectives discovered Bernadette Parker, 19, and Jesus Cardenas Ramos, 25, smoking the drug when they arrived at the home on the 300 block of St. Josephs. Sgt. Alex Tipolt, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman, said detectives responded to the residence to conduct a probation search for Parker’s father, Anthony Parker. 49.


“In the bedroom, narcotic detectives found Parker and her boyfriend Ramos of National City, smoking methamphetamine in the enclosed bedroom with no ventilation,” Tipolt said.
The 19-year-old Parker and Ramos were both arrested on suspicion of felony child endangerment, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Tipolt said the duo is being held in County Jail in Santa Maria on $100,000 bail.
Officials also arrested Parker Sr. and his wife, Isabelle Parker, 45. Parker Sr. was arrested for being under the influence of methamphetamines and violating his probation. Parker’s wife was arrested for being under the influent of methamphetamines and having an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
