Santa Barbara Police are searching for an 86-year-old woman who was last seen by her husband at 6 p.m. yesterday near their home on the 1200 block of Shoreline Drive
A police spokesman said the missing woman, Clara Seed, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt. Seed is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds and has long gray hair and gray eyes.

The spokesman said Seed’s husband discovered his wife was missing when he went to her bedroom to see if she was in bed for the night.
Police were dispatched to the area at about 7 p.m., where they conducted a house-to-house search until 10 p.m., the spokesman said.
Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue, Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol and the city Fire Department are all assisting in the search.
According to the Associated Press, Alzheimer’s disease is a neurological disorder that includes symptoms of memory loss, impairment of judgment, disorientation, personality change, difficulty in learning and loss of language skills.
Anyone with information about Seed’s whereabouts are encouraged to call 911.
