Authorities canvassed neighborhoods near San Andres and Micheltorena streets Sunday evening, searching for a suspect involved in a stabbing just after 8 p.m.
Police said the victim, a known gang member, suffered two puncture wounds that are not considered life threatening. He refused to cooperate with officers, Sgt. Jill Beecher said. Authorities had little suspect information, although police radio transmissions suggested they were looking for a 5-foot-7 man, possibly shorter, who weighs approximately 300 pounds.
The suspect reportedly fled on foot, according to radio transmissions, while the victim headed down San Andres Street before stopping for authorities at Sola Street.
