Actress Locklear arrested in Montecito

Actress Heather Locklear was arrested Saturday afternoon in Montecito after authorities found her allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A citizen spotted the 47-year-old actress in a parking lot driving repeatedly over a pair of sunglasses and revving her engine, according to a report released by the CHP.
After watching Locklear drive away, the citizen reportedly came across her again moments later, stopped on East Valley Road near Live Oaks Road.
“The citizen became concerned when Ms. Locklear exited her vehicle and stumbled into the traffic lane,” according to the report.
CHP officers found Locklear seated in the driver’s seat, her vehicle blocking the traffic lane, authorities said.
The actress appeared disoriented, according to the CHP report, and underwent a series of field sobriety tests.
“Although obvious impairment was exhibited during the tests, alcohol was ruled out as a factor,” according to the report. “Based on the circumstances and Ms. Locklear’s objective symptoms, she was arrested for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.”
Officers took Locklear into custody at approximately 5:11 p.m., according to the report, and transported her to the local CHP offices, where a drug recognition expert concluded the actress was under the influence of drugs and could not safely drive.
After completing a chemical drug test, Locklear was taken to Santa Barbara County Jail, authorities said.
She was booked in lieu of $5,000 for driving under the influence and being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was released at 11:05 p.m. on her own recognizance.
The actress of “Spin City,” “Melrose Place,” and “Dynasty” fame recently played a role in the upcoming Hannah Montana movie slated to be released next year.

Thank God she did not kill anyone!!!

But she's human and just because she's a TV Star does not mean she does not have problems like anyone else.

Hopefully the court will treat her as they would treat the rest of us.
